Raise the Roof is the resident choir at the Carnegie Library Hub in Herne Hill, South London. We are a Natural Voice Choir and we believe that EVERYONE, given the right support and regular opportunity, can SING in HARMONY!

Everyone is welcome, irrespective of experience or training. There are no auditions and all music is taught by ear. We work towards informal community performances at the end of each term, as well as participating in bigger London productions such as Sing for Water each year.

Our Artistic Director and lead choral director and is Kirsty Martin and this year we welcome new co-choral director Hannah Aina.

We are membership led and governed by a small and friendly Steering Group. You can become a Member of Raise the Roof and sing with us weekly (this is our favourite option – you can meet new friends, have a say in the repertoire and Get Involved!) However, if regular commitment is an issue, you can Drop In and Sing any week you like!
